Me Encanta la Argentina

Stumbled across this video from Open Culture today and was obliged to post.

It's been just over three years since I studied in Buenos Aires, yet now, as a city-dweller, I think about my time there more than ever.  I certainly owe my decision to move to Chicago to the five months I spent in BsAs, for I never would have been ready to live on my own in an urban environment had I not experienced that ciudad bárbara.

Anyway, the short below is a sweet tribute to Argentina's own Jorge Luis Borges.  The song, "De Usuahia a la Quiaca" by Gustavo Santaolalla, is from The Motorcycle Diaries (it also is the most frequently played song on my iTunes because I like to play it on repeat any time I write a paper).

Blue - Nice to see this post and see the brief comments that you posted on BA/Argentina. A mi tambien me encanta la Argentina.

It is crazy to hear you say that it's been 3 years since you were there, meaning that it's now been 4 (this spring) since I was there. In a lot of ways, it doesn't feel like I've been aways that long at all (and I sure wish I could get back sooner rather than later!).

It's alwso funny to hear you talk talk about your decision to live in a big city after being in BA. Even though I don't live in a big city, I definitely give BA credit for making me see that I could see myself in a big city as such.

Anyways, I'm probaly rambling and reminiscing more than you intended with this pots, but I just though I'd let you know that I did appreaciate the post, the memories and the video.

Espero q te vayas super bien. Un abrazo fuerte. Cuidate!

PS. Sorry about the terrible spelling/gramar, but for some reason I can't see my posts before actually posting them... haha.
